Dedicated To Empowering Delray Beach Youth Through Knowledge Of Self
The Spady Museum’s Youth Cultural Leadership program encourages area youth to learn about their culture and history while expressing themselves through various elements of arts and technology. The program focuses on building self-esteem, cultural identity and social and civic responsibility in youth. The empowerment program provides youth with arts and cultural heritage immersion experiences in Palm Beach County.
“Knowledge of self and practical skills are the building blocks for a well rounded individual. Our program is designed to strengthen self-esteem and educate.”
– Charlene Farrington, Executive Director

Monthly, youth participate in life skills session meetings…
both virtually and in-person, led by Jeaneen West. Here they take part in exercise, art activities, social development and guest speakers. The popular, life-enrichment sessions allow the youth to bond and increase their capabilities and confidence in a safe, nurturing setting.
Knowing our history is the first step in knowing ourselves. Book Club and History Lessons are an important part of the Leadership program. Learning where we came from helps navigate the future and reading opens our minds and makes room for endless possibilities.
